I'd like to travel from cache to cache, particularly to natural and wilderness areas. Photos are always appreciated!
The magnetic compass is the oldest instrument for navigation and has been a vital tool for navigators at sea for centuries. It shows direction relative to the geographic cardinal directions.
Prior to GPS, this was the primary means of navigation in the woods. I wouldn't trust this particular compass to get you out of jam however, so make sure you have lots of spare batteries and that you've waypointed your vehicle.
