The Sand Gobbler was discovered a couple of years ago when we visited the White Sand Dunes in New Mexico. At that time we were exploring the dunes, taking pictures, doing things that tourists do. When suddenly we spotted this little guy under a small bush. So we were wondering if it might have been left behind by a child or maybe it was some sort of Alien life form. In any case it really hasn't done to much so the Sand Gobbler should be save to take along on your travels.
The mission is to visit sandy places in the United States and Beyond.

Saw the Gobbler in a TB hotel along I-80 in Iowa. I'm not heading anywhere sandy anytime soon so I let him hang out there until another cacher can move him along to a more suitable place.
Dropped Sand Gobbler here after a long journey to the North Carolina Outer banks. Picture was taken by the Frisco pier.
Retrieved from GCQJ85. He will see plenty of sand where he is going.
Discovered at the FLC in Tipton Iowa. Thank you for sharing.
Found this at the Tipton Friday Lunch Club event.
We will place it soon. Not much sand in Southern Iowa but we do have a lot of yellow clay :)
