Current Goal

The goal of this TB is to gather as many geocachers' names as will fit on the log, and keep moving so other cachers can see it. Hopefully it will get to GCXA12 some day.

Do you remember film cans like this? And have you ever seen one used as a micro container? These aluminum film cans were out of production decades before geocaching was conceived. I’ve never seen one used as a micro container, and you probably haven’t either, so I have made one into a travel bug for all to see.

I created this TB to help promote the PodCacher Podcast, which is by far my favorite geocaching-related podcast. It was part of a contest, where all the participating TBs that reach GCXA12 in San Diego by July 10, 2008, would be entered in a raffle, and the person who started that TB would get a PodCacher geocoin. A cacher name was chosen by dice roll from the names on the log sheet inside the winning TB, for a prize from PodCacher’s "prize vault".

The contest is over, and this TB got SO CLOSE… but didn’t make it to San Diego. But the prize you can still get as a result of finding this TB is discovering the PodCacher Podcast!

Had to repair the chain a bit, but it's ready to travel again. Sadly, I must report I am old enough to remember when 35mm film came in these canisters.

Neat bug; alas, these film canisters were before our time. Signed the log and will move along for some more CT cachers to find.

I'm so excited I grabbed this TB! I saw it on the listing for this cache earlier in the week and didn't think it would still be here. I enjoy looking at its log. It's been a long time since I saw one of these film cans.
