ThisATLANTA BRAVES Baseball cap is sent out in homage to my daughter, Kristie, aka in baseball circles as Slugger, who has over the years shared with me a friendly rivalry (when is she gonna learn AL is better than NL?) ...we have watched together the finesse of the pitch... the sound of the ball hitting the catcher's mitt... the crack of the bat... the smell of peanuts, popcorn, and ball park franks...seventh inning stretch...and a cold one of course (now the cold ones are our method of bet payments).
From Sylvania Tee Ball, to Maplewood Elementary, Arbor Hill Road Runners, on the Northview High School Girls team, continuing on for the J & G Pizza winning fast pitch team, Kristie hit in many a field, has been an umpire for a few years and is still playing this summer...
