Current Goal

To travel to as many beaches as possible.  He really likes ocean beaches and tropical beaches but he's not picky, he'll take any beach he can find (rivers, lakes, streams and so on).

About This Item

This bug has a shell taken from Smith Point County Park in Shirley, New York.  It is a barrier beach on Fire Island and the home of the largest county park in Suffolk County, New York.  These shells with purple were very important to the Native Americans on Long Island and the Northeast.  They were used for many things, including currency.  They were called wampum.
