To peacefully revisit and sail the Asian Pacific, hopefully making it to: New Caledonia, Fiji, Okinawa & Iwo Jima
This TB is dedicated to Mr. G, my father, and his WWII service aboard the USS Massachusetts battleship, aka Big Mame. She received 11 battle stars as a result of her service for operations in North Africa, the South Pacific and Japan including the battle of Iwo Jima. Fortunately, no sailors or Marines were killed in action aboard the battleship during the war.
Pop and I have traveled quite a bit together. One of my most memorable trips included a personal tour from him aboard Big Mame, now a museum ship, in 1991.
