Found with sunstreaker_50 and kids. Forgot to log it so I am doing some catching up now.
Found this with casper122600 and the kids. Will definitely find a unusual place to drop this in the next few days unless weather delays me.
I decided to drop this one off here because it gets a lot of visitors and is near a major interstate highway. Thanks for letting me travel with your trackable!
Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium was built in 1947, and until 2010 was the home of the College World Series of baseball. It was tore down in favor of building a more modern stadium across town, but the city has built this park as a reminder of the past and a tribute to the history of the old stadium.
This virtual cache is located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This was the site of a council of Native Americans during the 1804 Lewis and Clark expedition. There is an amazing view from this location of the Missouri River and the state of Nebraska. You can see the tall buildings of Omaha under the sun in the image.
Omaha is home of the birthplace of Gerald R. Ford, who was the 38th President of the United States. He was born here and lived here for only 16 days, but since he was born here, he is sometimes regarded as Nebraska's first US President.
On our way down to Nebraska for the holidays, we stopped off in Iowa to visit this earthcache. It was very cold - around 9 degrees Fahrenheit - and very windy. There isn't a whole lot to see except for a lot of grass in the area. The rest area we stopped at looked like a traditional Iowa barn.
I decided to take some travel bugs on a tour of my home town. This is the Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The falls are spectacular, especially now in the winter with all the icicles. This is the spot that inspired Henry Wadsworth Longfellow to write his epic poem "The Song of Hiawatha."
Grabbed this one from Split Ends. Will be taking it with me this weekend for a trip south to Nebraska, and I hope to find a good place along the way to drop this one.
