Goal: Travel from cache to cache in search of BRAAAAINS. Visit Geocaching events. Spread the plague. Please take photos!
Meet Julio, a zombie who has become patient number 69 in our study of the propagation of the zombie plague via geocaching. Julio was a retired toreador with an interest in dune buggies. He collected scorpions, and kept them meticulously labelled in small jars in his kitchen, next to the spices. He hated citrus fruits, to him they all smelled of cat urine.
We believe Julio contracted the zombie plague from Patient # 24 - Diego. We know from caching records that Diego travelled to Mexico to do some caching there, and there is some evidence that both Diego and Julio attended an event outside of Mexico City together. There are also some remote caches that they both logged simultaneously, so we think they went caching together via dune buggy.
This travel bug is part of a larger study to take a closer look at how the zombie plague might propagate if the primary vector for spreading the disease was geocaching. Please visit the following website for further details, and a visualization of how the disease has propagated thus far based on the movement and discovery of this and other infected Zombie travel bugs:
