Our Bakugan's goal is to visit every county in Ireland and then return home to Kansas. If you aren't going to Ireland in the near future, we think he'd appreciate anything Irish.
In 2009 our family spent six months in Ireland and fell in love with the people and the country. We had a small flat south of Dublin in Greystones, County Wicklow. I took the bus or train to UCD for work and the rest of the family enjoyed the coast. We traveled extensively through just about every county in the Republic and Northern Ireland. We've been back once and hope to return many times. In the meantime, we are looking forward to traveling vicariously through our little friend.
If you've never seen a Bakugan before, it is a series of toys, usually spherical in shape, that open up when they are thrown or placed over a magnet. Hopefully the Bakugan came to you looking like a sphere. If you place its bottom on the card in the rectangle it will open up into some sort of creature. With a little effort we hope you can close it up to a sphere again before you pass it on. If you are having trouble, just ask a kid for help. There is nothing really Irish about the toy (they are from Japan), but my son feels that because it is green and black (for Guinness) that's close enough. Who am I to argue with logic like that.
