Current Goal

My mission is to visit as many LARGE geocaches and MEGA events as possible. I am happy to attend any event, but please only place me in a geocache as long as it is large enough to keep me concealed from Muggles. Can I visit at least one event and geocache in every state or province in each country of the world? Let’s see how far we can go! I invite anyone and everyone to discover me. Please don’t keep me in one place for too long; there are many places to see and things to do on my journey ahead. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to upload your photos to share! If you take photos with me, please be sure to cover my code so that others cannot see it. Happy Caching!

About This Item

GeoGIANT is a large travel bug unlike any I’ve encountered before. Its oversized tag is its distinguishing characteristic. Although it is completely galvanized and weather resistant, it will be subject to temperature changes in hot and cold climates. Please take caution in handling it. Sharp edges can also be an issue. Remember that you are responsible for your own safety.

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 6/22/2014 Jeepers_Creepers grabbed it   Visit Log

The story as submitted to Groundspeak Headquarters:

My friend Eskoclimber, retrieved this lug-gable TB from a recent event cache. His devious mind says, "Ah I know just the place for this @ Jeepers_Creepers (me)" 😈 So, early in the morning, and I mean early, he stealthily places this in my wife's gardens while the two of us were asleep. When I get up and head out on my usual hike/bike in the morning for a cache I see nothing, because I always back my car into the garage at night. So, while I'm out in the field I get a cell call from Peepers2 (my wife), saying "What is this geocache thing in my garden?" Innocently, I respond, "What are you talking about? Why don't you describe it to me?" Peepers2 says, "You didn't put this here? Well you'll see it soon enough, goodbye!" I say, "Scott, must have been up to something, hummm..." Boy was he. I'll be bring this to a local event soon.

Discovered this in my garden when I woke up. I asked Jeepers_Creepers what this was and why he put it here. He didn't know what I was talking about. Mystery solved, thank you Eskoclimber. -Peepers2 🙂

I first seen this while looking for my lost dog...but since I was trying to find my dog and get to work on time, didn't note the TB numbers. A few days later, I queried the property owner as to whether I was seeing strange things that morning and found out it was an actual travel bug. I tried a second time to spot it, and it was MIA...tricky little, big bugger. Finally tonight, I heard a rumor that the bug was making another appearance. I'm thinking all the rain on the weekend brought it out of it's hidey hole. So, I walked the 2 blocks up from my house to snap a picture to get the numbers. TFTB!!

Driving to drop off one of Treasure_Seekers4 we happened to spot this in a garden in Duluth, MN. Had to verify that this was actually a Travel Bug. Wow! It's huge! It looked nice in the garden, so we left it alone.

Discovered it, or should I say the TB discovered me. 🙂 I have more than a sneaking suspicion who placed this in my wife's garden. Thanks to my friend who made this one easy to spot. -Jeepers_Creepers 👍

When I saw this at the event I thought it was a bill board for selling trackable tags. Took me a bit to realize this was the TB! For sure it's the largest tag I've seen.
