Tad and his 6 little turtle brothers, Ted, Tex, Tim, Todd, Troy and Thor, have always been very competitive. They’ve decided to begin a race around the world! These 7 little Racing Turtle Brothers have all been sent off at about the same time from different locations. Their ultimate goal is to return home to Madison, Wisconsin and to share with everyone the special Turtle Poem, their mom used to sing to them every night at bed time. Mom isn’t expecting them home too soon though because of their short little legs! Slow and steady wins the race! Good luck boys!
I Had a Little Turtle
I have a little turtle;
His name is Tiny Tad.
I put him in the bathtub
To teach him how to swim.
He drank up all the water
And ate up all the soap.
Now he’s home and sick in bed
With bubbles in his throat!
I miss my little turtle,
Whose name is Tiny Tad.
I will call him on the telephone-
I would like to visit him.
Tiny Tad is better now;
His tummy doesn’t hurt.
He will never eat the soap again-
He says it doesn’t work.
