I'm going to start by saying that this trackable is special, sure all trackables are special, but somehow this little green duck has worked his way into quite a few hearts. Quack was given to me my good friend "bluegrass baby." In October 2013 I dropped him off in a cache behind a security fence in Israel, right next to the Dead Sea. His mission was to find his way home to the coastal redwood forest of Humboldt County. In January 2015 he showed up in a cache in Humboldt County, and oddly enough, the same "bluegrass baby" that first gave him to me retrieved him and gave him to me a second time. Thank you so much to the geocaching community for helping this guy travel 25,426 miles to get home! His mission remains the same, so I'll leave the rest of the description unedited…
I'm dropping this guy off far from home, and would like him to find his way back to me, to Humboldt County in Northern California. Ducks, much like sea kayakers, get a little claustrophobic when they're away from water. If possible, please keep him close to water on his journey back home. Pictures are always welcome.
Quack is a duck from Humboldt County in northern California. Humboldt is known for being green, and so is this duck. Humboldt is the home to old growth coastal Redwood forests and has dozens of national, state and local forests and parks. It is also a wonderful place for adventure and sea kayaking on the Pacific Ocean. This duck was given to me by an awesome friend who took me on my first geocache earlier this year.
