Current Goal

Denzel has decided to go travelling. His mission is to bring some luck to people who find him and move him on. If you find him and you're near a picturesque harbour/village why not take a photo to remind him of his home harbour of Porthleven in Cornwall.

PLEASE DO NOT KEEP DENZEL.

About This Item

Denzel

The Piskey was a popular figure in folklore. Superstitious Cornish folk treated the mischievous little creatures with great respect, for if you fell foul of them you would surely regret it. Nowdays, the piskey is considered a lucky charm who wards off evil spirits and brings good luck.

Not sure that Portreath is particularly picturesque, especially in such wet weather as today, but there's no denying that it's got a harbour.
