Current Goal

Miss Cheetah likes to travel to places where she can meet other cats big and small--especially other cheetahs. Please take her picture with other cats and post the pictures with your log. She tends to get homesick from time to time. If she's been far from home (St. Albans/Nitro area of West Virginia) for a long time, please send her back towards home so she can have a brief visit with her friends and family here. Be sure to mention in the logs (both here and in her log book) that she's heading home so others will help her on her way. Once she gets close enough to home, we'll tell everyone when she's ready to travel out again.

About This Item

To celebrate Miss Cheetah's (Man In The Wild & Queenfish's daughter) 8th birthday, we're releasing her travel bug today, 5/3/2002. We'll eventually have a travel bug for each family member. Miss Cheetah is the second--Comet Horse is already in Kentucky looking for other horses. Next up is Queenfish. She'll be released shortly after Miss Cheetah leaves the 100,000 Mile Rest Stop Cache.

Miss Cheetah prepares a long journey to the South in November, escaping from the cold Winter season in Germany. She likes comfortable temperatures and tasty game.

    • Lion at the roadside in the "Krüger National Park" We also love big cats but only on photos or in save distances.
    • Cheetah 1 We met this fantastic cheetah during a game drive in the famous "Krüger National Park" in South Africa in 2000. This cheetah was also alone and we could imagine it was waiting for a another cheetah. It didn't notice us so we could take plenty of photos.
    • Cheetah 2 My wife met this cheetah during his journey through South Africa at "Spiers Winery" in Stellenbosch in 2006.
