Alexandre hopes that wherever his travels take him, he will be able to continue competitive swimming. He looks forward to racing against new friends in different bodies of water around the world.

About This Item

Alexandre In Training

Alexandre is a 13 year-old Cajun crawfish. He had a rough childhood in the swamps of southwest Louisiana. After the unfortunate death of both parents in a bizarre skiff accident, Alexandre was raised from the age of six by his older siblings, Christophe and Claire. His brother and sister are now focused on starting their own families and have little time or interest in Alexandre. He has, therefore, decided to run away, hoping to get as far from his selfish and insensitive siblings as possible. Alexandre is a competitive swimmer and has been training for the Swamp Swimmers Championship (SSC) for some time now. Alexandre will miss his Cajun home, especially the spicy gumbo and speaking French with his friends from L'Academie des Ecrevises. He won't miss the zydeco music of his home, however, as he much prefers to listen to rap music. In addition to continuing his competitive swimming, Alexandre hopes to learn about other families around the world and see how siblings in other families get along with one another.
