Die Bratwurst ist in Thüringen die klassische Mahlzeit für Zwischendurch.
Traditionell wird die "Thüringer Rostbratwurst" aus Schweinefleisch hergstellt. Typische Gewürze sind Salz, Pfeffer, Kümmel, Majoran und Knoblauch. Jeder Hersteller hat seine eigene Rezeptur, somit gibt es nicht nur die Eine "Thüringer Rostbratwurst", sondern eine große Vielzahl.
Die original Thüringer Rostbratwurst muss offen über Holzkohle gebraten werden. In Thürigen sieht man zu jeder Jahreszeit die Wolken aus weißem Rauch und riecht den würzigen Geruch schon lange bevor man die klassischen Holzkohlegrills auf Plätzen, Straßen und in den Gärten sieht.
The "Thüringer Rostbratwurst" is a spicy sausage from Thuringia (federal subdivision of germany) as a classic meal snack.
Traditionally made from pork. Typical spices are salt, pepper, cumin, marjoram and garlic. Each manufacturer has its own recipe, so there is not the one and only sausage, but a wide variety. The mass has a fine structure of max. 3 mm grain size. It is bottled in fine hog or sheep casings.
The oiginal "Thüringer Rostbratwurst" must be open grilled over charcoal. In Thuringia you see every season the clouds of white smoke and smell the spicy even long before you see the classic charcoal grills on squares, streets and gardens.
