I've been following this artist on DeviantArt and was lucky enough to get one of his coins when a retailer had to return some. Really wanted his scarab geocoin for my son, but missed out on it. Go check out his DA gallery, as he does really wonderful photography as well.
This one came in a variety of different colors - mine is the turquoise/purple.
"This coin was made to celebrate 12-12-12, the last time most of us will see a date like this. It also has a Mayan/Christmas theme to it, since the date is close to both Christmas and the date some people believe the Mayan calendar predicts the world will end.
The front has a Mayan design, with 12 Christmas symbols surrounding the Earth, which has Santa and his sleigh flying around it. The Earth is also focused on Africa, as 12-12-12 is also Independence Day (or Jamhuri Day) in Kenya. The back also has a Mayan design with some Mayan Calendar symbols surrounding a large snowflake."
This design has many glow-in-the-dark bits as part of the design - the Earth, the snowflake, and the little Xmas symbols.
