Current Goal

To celebrate my 200th geocoin activation (and release if I keep track properly)
I am offering a geocoin contest. At the end of each calender year that this
coin keeps moving, it is my goal to select one geocacher at random who helps
this coin on its journey and send them a free unactivated geocoin.

About This Item

OK, this contest does have a few simple rules.

To qualify, find, log and place this geocoin back into a cache. The coin must be dropped back into a physical cache within 4 weeks of being found. Remember, it must be moving at the end of each calender year for a coin to be awarded, so choose a cache where it is less likely to be stolen. Discovering the coin will not count toward winning the prize. It must be retrieved from a cache and placed back into a cache to qualify. At the end of each year, I will choose one geocacher at random to win the prize. If I cannot contact that geocacher throught their profile, alternates will be chosen until a winner is found. Prizes will will be awarded each January for the previous year.

Please, keep this coin out of geocoin "showrooms" and TB hotels with take one/trade one rules. If you find it on one of those caches, please feel obligated to break the rules and liberate this coin to travel. Unfortynately, event caches are another high risk cache for geocoins. Event caches are not physical caches, so you can't win if you place the coin in one.

Have some fun and lets see how far this geocoin can travel (Hopefullly to 200+ caches!)

The 2007 winner is: MrClean.

The 2008 winner is: sumpteretc.

The 2009 winner is: peakbagginggeo.
