About This Item

Upon approaching 5,000 finds, it was brought to our attention that an event to celebrate 5,000 days of geocahing was in its final planning stages. With just under 3 weeks and approx 300 +/- finds to go, it was decided that the event would be our 5,000th smiley. As we arrived at the event (MMMMM... A Cozy 5K Gathering [GC4VBCZ]) and were signing the log, the host asked if we found the new cache in the adjacent parking lot, we said that we have not, yet. When asked why we said "This is why..." and we signed the log with "#5,000!" along side it. Everyone though it was rather neat, and it was an opportunity we couldn't pass up.
