Attached to a U.S. Army name tape, this travel bug's mission is to visit military posts around the globe. Please try to take pictures with it at something cool at each post and at the very least something that has it's name of the post. Entrance sign would be the coolest but anything will do (business card, receipt at the shopette, whatever), so we can tell where all it's been by a glance of a photo.
Since the travel bug says Alaska. The posts in Alaska are it's first mission. It can check it out for us in case we ever get stationed there ourselves. So far we've been turning it down. It's a big chilly out there. I hear it's beautiful though. Maybe it can convince us to go there next.
ADVON is the name of the element that is sent ahead of the main body when on missions or deploying. Hence the name of the travel bug and it's mission.
Both me and my husband come from a military family. We are also a miltary family as well. My husband serves in the U.S. Army. Our first post and where we started our family is Fort Bragg, NC. It is also where we are starting this travel bug.
