We have left Tasmania and are on our way back to Sydney. We are at Sea the whole day

  • Hannah at the top of the Ship Looking down the side of the ship from the viewing platform on top of deck 16..its a bit windy up here!

A nice visit to the historic Port Arthur today...The weather is a bit wet though..

  • The Church at Port Arthur This stone church, constructed in 1836-37 is a lasting tribute to its convict builders. The church could accommodate over one thousand people at its services and was unfortunately destroyed by fire in 1884
  • The Cell Let me out!! Let me out!!! Hannah....Have you been naughty? That's the exercise yard out there..
  • The Penitentiary Hannah looking at the rear of the Penitentiary ruins, that was constructed in 1843 as a flour mill and granary. In 1857 it was converted into a penitentiary, capable of housing over 480 convicts in dormitory accommodation and separate apartments.
  • Port Arthur This is a panorama of the Port Arthur Convict Ruins. You're not in this one Hannah..

We had a lovely day today in Hobart...

  • Breakfast on the ship Hannah had a lovely breakfast this morning, Bacon, Eggs, Tomatoes, and Toast...while looking out over Hobart.
  • The Circus While we were our caching today we came across the Circus! Unfortunately Hannah can't attend as we would miss our Cruise!! and its a long swim back to Sydney!
  • The Seagull Aaarrrgh!! Help!! The Seagull has me! Ha ha...just tricking...its a Bronze seagull. Part of a huge sculpture near where our ship was docked and right next to the cache 'Heading South'
  • The Sculpture Here is a wider view of the sculpture
  • Hobart at Night Here is a lovely view of Hobart at night from on top of the Bridge of the Ship. You wern't in this one Hannah, it was late and you were already in bed in the cabin.

Relaxing on Board the ship today as we Cruise towards Tasmania

  • Relaxing on Deck Relaxing on the Lido deck, deck 14 overlooking one of the pools with a Raspberry Smoothie..but this is for Meggs, not me, as I'm not old enough for Adult drinks! I'll just watch the Giant TV instead!
  • On the Balcony We've returned to our cabin and I'm relaxing on the Balcony
  • In the Cabin I've had enough sun, Just going to have a nanna nap in the cabin before going down to the restaurant to have dinner. I see Meggs still has some of her raspberry smoothie left!
