My friend Jodi called me a few weeks before her wedding to ask, as one of her besties, if I could provide the "something borrowed" for the "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" part of her ceremony. I immediately thought of jewelry, but she informed me that it was already taken care of. So, on to the next idea...
In September of 2011, Doug and Jodi traveled with my husband and me to Italy. They were formally introduced to Geocaching in Rome. When in Rome, you go geocaching, right? We did! Every night after dinner, we searched for the caches that I had loaded into my old Etrex. Then, we did the same in Florence, and in the Cinque Terra. Although I can say they are not “hooked,” they do understand the concept and support me in my hobby/habit.
So, this travel bug is what Jodi will be carrying with her as she marries her best friend. After the wedding, it will be returned to me and I will set it free. Please take care to move it along to destinations that are fabulous (as geocachers, sometimes our ideas of fabulous locations are different from the rest of the world’s ideas). Photos and words of congrats would be great as I will be sharing each of this bugs adventures with Doug and Jodi.
Their ceremony was held overlooking the ocean in Carmel by the Sea on October 19th, 2013. Many blessings to them!
