I want to visit war monuments or memorials. I'd really like to see the vietnam war memorial at some time on my adventures.

1) Hardegg (GCW9DQ) Thanks WAV for the picture & log! Remainder of Iron Curtain (past of worldwar 1948-1989) betwen western and eastern europe.
2) BBBubak took me to 2 war memorials in Znojmo. Thanks BBBubak for the details & pictures! Awesome!!(See log.)
3) the.weasel, Thanks for your pictures of Trebic! Again Awesome!!
4) ?GMS #5: Time (GC10PW0) Cache is situated in Trebic.
5) ?Vozovna Kralovske Vinohrady (GC10245) I don't know what the cache page says, but the pictures make it look like it qualifies!
6) Thanks for the picture wwwerca2!
7) 1866 (GCNTBB)
8) Thanks for the pictures from your trip KarelMrak!
9) Stary nemecky hrbitov-Old german cemetery (GC12GW8)
10) Turing's tin (GC13ZGC) Stoerenfried says, "a cache regarding Alan Turing is suitable as well. Alan Turing, who during world war 2 worked in Bletchley Park, UK, as a Cryptanalyst and broke the German Enigma cipher. Historians nowadays assume that this was probably crucial for the Allies to win the war. In memory of all lives saved by the work of Cryptanalysts, especially Alan Turing, and exceptionally for all the lives they had to sacrifice in order to not let the opponent become suspicious." Thank you.
11) the wallabies got pictures of a WWI Memorial at the city cemetery in Tubingen.
12) numakeh got pictures of me at a 1st & 2nd World War Memorial near their home.
13) Ehrenmal, "These monuments were made by the artist to remind everyone of the tragedy and gruelty of war,"
14) Bamberg's grune Lunge, (I can't really tell if this is or not.)
15) bwalther&bienle, thank you for your description of Ehrenmal & picture.
16) bwalther&bienle thank you also for your "photo that shows a warrior-monument nearby my homeplace. It reminds of the fallen soldiers of the wars (1870-1871 against France, 1914-1918 Worldwar I and 1939-1945 Worldwar II) who used to life in this town before the wars."
17) abacus03 said this about "Neunzehn versteckt..." "I drop the coin into a cache placed next to a small chapel containing some stone plate withe the names engraved of all the men that lost their lives or are missing in the two world wars I (1914 - 18) and II (1939 -45) and were from the small village nearby. Remarkingly the number is quite large. Memorials presenting the names on stone plates are quite frequent, but placing them in a chapel is fairly rare."
18) abacus03 also said this, "This coin wants to make people remember wrs, and the cache I dropped it in really is a good chance to do. Back in WW II Allied forces and the Nazi regime fought hard, and as the time went towards the end Allied bombers frequently hit german cities. Having few fighter planes left german FLAK (heavy ground-to-air canons) were the only defence left, often operated by unexperienced people. The cache shows the few remains of one site that was situated close to Nuremberg with others, like a belt. This site once had 18 canons, but very few pieces of concrete and walls are to be seen after 60 years.
Remarkingly the enemies of once are friends and collegues now, and this gives hope for the future. It is important to know and remember the history, but sometimes necessary to get past that and walk new ways." about the cache FLAKBATTERIE FISCHBACH
19) Het onderduikershol "De Wigwam" poldertruus said, "In the middle of the woods near Wapse people were hiding for the Germans in a hole in the ground at this place during WW II. Unfortunately 6 men were discovered here and later on killed in prison camps or executed."
20) Werelderfgoed De Beemster
21) M en M 2 gets bonus points for all the pictures
22) Railway Wood
