Current Goal

The mission of this trackable is to move from place to place, not to be held as a mileage counter. When someone takes it and then places it, the cacher should pick up and remove at least one piece of trash.


About This Item

This trackable is being first placed in a cache to honor the first geocaching CITO in Traverse City, MI at Kid's Creek on April 20, 2013. The cache was activated for the CITO as well. At least 20 people braved the snow and below 30 degree temperatures to remove 10 bags of trash from this beautiful preserve which also has a fishing pond for children. As cachers, we do sometimes impact the environment negatively. Removal of the trash we see is a means to give back. Really, I haven't gotten sick or died by picking up trash and I pick up everything without gloves.
