This was brought home from Virginia by my partner, who grabbed this one because I used to be a Correctional Officer. I was assaulted in 2008 and have always said these exact words about the job. Thank you for putting this out there and I'll be sure to share this is NY.

I took this TB because it is actually quite near and dear to my heart, as my partner was a correctional officer. She was assaulted back in 2008 by an inmate and there is a huge lack of support for what she and many others in this field go through. Correctional officers truly are the forgotten cop. Still in 2014, it haunts her, especially since it resulted in the loss of many things being out of work, but she is working hard to get past it all.

Eventually, she would like to find a way to create resources for officers plagued with PTSD, anger issues, and everything else that comes with putting on the uniform every day. Thank you for sending this TB out in the world to educate people.

Nice to come across some gravy when caching in challenging situations (temps just below triple digits). My new law is: Don't take a TB is I don't already have a cache in mind where I will take it. Hope it doesn't get stuck here for a long time, a-l-o-o-o-h-a.
