NASA Bug wants to visit the Kennedy Space Center then return to the Seattle area before the end of 2004. It pays tribute to the crew of space shuttle Columbia.

About This Item

NASA Bug

This Travel Bug pays tribute to the astronauts lost in the space shuttle Columbia accident. Its purpose is to reach the Kennedy Space Center then return to Seattle intact, where it will be kept as a souvenir. It would like to stop at the hometowns of the American astronauts who were lost, as a way of paying tribute to them. Additionally, it wouldn't mind visiting and having its picture taken at various NASA facilities.

I grabbed this bug from a cache where I was first to find. Yay! It's also pefect for a aerospace themed cache and travel bug rest area that I'm planning to unveil on September 25. In the mean time, I'll take some pictures next to a Saturn 1B rocket and other space related items.

Sincerest apologies for a late log - however I have logged this find once before and for whatever reason it did not show up! I was checking my "found" caches today and noticed it was not on there. Anywho, a great cache in a great spot. Will place in a brand new cache today I hope...
