I have had this coin for over 30 years. It was given to me along with a large amount of other coins from many different countries from all around the world. The goal for this TB is to travel to Denmark to visit a few caches there and then return to Canada.
The 25-øre coin was put into circulation in 1973. The obverse shows Queen Margrethe II's monogram and an oak branch. The heart on the obverse is a mint mark showing that the coin was minted at the Royal Danish Mint. The motif on the reverse is an ornament that could be interpreted as a stylised ear of corn. The coin was engraved by Frode Bahnsen. The 25-øre is of cupronickel and weighs 4.3 gram. In total around 427 million coins were minted up to 1988.
