Caching in the Last Frontier
The wildlife sightings enjoyed by people in Alaska are unlike those experienced anywhere else in the world. The variety of species and raw, undiluted and primal nature of a world barely touched by man makes this last frontier a paradise for those who love to spend their hours outdoors enjoying nature at its finest.
This GxProxy geocoin celebrates one of this 49th state's largest and most beautiful residents. The great Humpback Whales are commonly seen traveling along the coastlines of the frontier while feeding on the tiny schooling fish caught in their clever group built bubble nets or in deeper waters where they strain great hoards of krill with their baleen. These massive feedings produce enormous sized gentle giants over 50 feet long weighing up to almost 40 tons!
