Niels Bohr schwarz

[DE] Niels Henrik David Bohr (* 7. Oktober 1885 in Kopenhagen; † 18. November 1962 ebenda) war ein dänischer Physiker. Er erhielt 1921 die Hughes-Medaille der Royal Society[1] und den Nobelpreis für Physik im Jahr 1922 „für seine Verdienste um die Erforschung der Struktur der Atome und der von ihnen ausgehenden Strahlung“.
1913 entwickelte er das "Bohrsche Atommodell" , welches auf der Rückseite des Geocoins abgebildet ist. 2013 feiern wir das 100 jährige bestehen des Modells.

[EN] Niels Henrik David Bohr (* 7. Oktober 1885 in Kopenhagen; † 18. November 1962) was a Danish physicist. 1921 he got the Hughes Metal of the Royal Society and 1922 the Nobel Prize "for his researches concerning the structure of the atoms and the radiation they are emitting".
1913 he developed "Bohr's model of the atom" which is shown on the back of the geocoin. 2013 we celebrate the 100th aniversary of the existance of this model.
