This coin is taking part in the National Trails Geocaching Weekend on 13th and 14th July 2013. It's mission during the weekend and beyond is to visit all of the geocaches along the 84 miles of the Hadrian’s Wall Path National Trail as possible. If it visits any geocaches on other National Trails, that would also be good.
This is a National Trail Geocoin. There are 15 National Trails in England and Wales, all of which provide outstanding opportunities to enjoy some of the very best landscapes in our country.
They are perfect trails for walking, and on some trails cycling and horseriding.
You can enjoy travelling the full length of any of our National Trails, or even just spend a couple of hours. Whichever, we expect you will have a brilliant time!

This coin started out on the Hadrian’s Wall Path National Trail, an 84 mile walking route that shadows for its greater part the historic line of Hadrian’s Wall. When walking along the Trail please follow our conservation tips. First of all please don’t walk on top of Hadrian’s Wall itself. The second tip is to walk side-by-side instead of single file and avoid walking in any worn lines in the grass path. This helps to spread the load and really does help us to look after the Trail and the archaeology underfoot in a sustainable way. Thank you – enjoy your weekend and the Trail.
