The TravelBug P08

This is a miniature of the Luger P08. Without a doubt, the Luger semiautomatic pistol is one of the most famous firearms of the 20th century. It's distinctive toggle lock and sleek lines make it very recognizable, as do the fact that it was a standard sidearm of the German, Swiss, and other armies for a period spanning nearly a half century, and produced in large quantities. It is well-known even to many people who know or care nothing about historic firearms.

Have Gun, Will TravelBug enjoyed his time with Vtop. He travelled to MI, MN, SD & IA but didn't stay in any caches since they were all to small or virtual. I haven't checked the schedule but the Lancaster Event Center (www.lancastereventcenter.com) is only a couple of miles away and they have gun shows every once in awhile. Maybe he can visit there with someone soon!

Picked up this traveler at the owners cache while hunting WJTB’s (unsuccessfully). My daddy returned from WWII with one of these as a souvenir. He kept it wrapped in a rag for many years before finally selling it in the 70’s (?) for $150.
