This is my homeland

My name is Garrtjambal, which simply means Kangaroo in Gupapuyngu. Gupapuyngu is one of many Yolngu languages from Northeast Arnhemland in Australia. Yolngu are always happy when other people make an honest effort to learn Yolngu Matha.

I come from Adelaide in South Australia and through my travels I will be guided by a lundu (friend in Gupapuyngu) dolphin. I believe that Adelaide is the only place in the world where wild dolphins live in the city metropolitan area. I have seen them many times and they are really lovely!
