Team TK rolled into the Cache Bash Weekend for a week of finding 5 star Travel Bug Hotels of America, our Starcraft Camper purring along from Dry Bend to West Bend. Hopefully you spotted our large trackable magnet gleaming beside the Wall Drug and Happy Wanderer bumper stickers. Thank you to the COs who hide and maintain hotels for everyone to enjoy. The steam of the hunt called us, and we fed on the thrill of the chase, sniffing out caches and bugs like the shining it is. We will be attending Events along the way to meet up with local cachers.
We were targeting Older caches and Virtuals, those are not to be missed. Solved puzzles that we've spent many evenings in the RV figuring out. Earthcaches always remind us the lessons taught in school won't be enough. Challenge caches are some of our favorites even if we don't qualify yet... something to work towards with antici....pation! Webcams before they all become history. High Favorites are always worth the fun. Adventure Labs point out things we would usually just drive by if the CO hadn't put work into them.
All week was devoted to different Sconnie and Midwest Hotel Bookmark lists.
This is our third TB Midwest Hotel Tour, but the first time I've found such a variety of TB icons.
The week ended with many new sightings and over 7 different TB icons plus a couple of VB’s. All bugs will be logged at the end of the road tour. Thank you to all the proprietors who hid or maintain these Hotels because without you, our tour could not continue!
The Bash whispered, and we answered, slipping through the mundane world to claim our prize. Logs will be stamped with our Geo names, and we usually leave a token of our passing—a knot of string, tied tight. We'll be gone by dawn, chasing the next cache event, forever wandering, forever hungry.
If answers are required, one of us will send them at the end of the trip.
