Hi edhag.
I am soooooo sorry to report that I was THAT GUY and lost your geocoin. It makes me sick. I picked it up on the coast of North Carolina and wanted to log some miles on it and then drop it off in Minnesota (on one of the two business trips I had planned coming up) in hopes that it would travel to the west coast. Well, somehow I lost it on my first trip to MN last month. I really feel bad, as I know what it feels like to have coins go missing out there - and I have a lot of trackables that went MIA over the years.
Anyway, I found the cool turtle coin's image on the internet and made a nice proxy out of a coin collector's plastic coin protector shell by placing the front and back printed images of the coin in the shell with a slug in the middle to add some weight. Fortunately, the tracking number was still with the coin in my online inventory. I am attaching an image of the coin proxy where I dropped it off.
Once again, I am very sorry I lost the coin. I hope that the proxy lives on and makes it to other oceans.
