Current Goal

Rowdy is on the move again. The Thursday night section of IDS 2083 (noting the success of the Summer Rowdy who actually made it to Hawaii) voted to send this Rowdy to Australia! Rowdy has grown tired of walking/running and would like to learn how to hop like the kangaroos. He would also like to cuddle a koala and sing with the lorikeets.

Students in IDS 2083 are studying to be teachers and this course provides an overview of ways they can use technology in the classroom. Geocaching is a great way to teach students about geography concepts.

This is Rowdy the Roadrunner, mascot of the University of Texas at San Antonio. The Thursday night section of the Fall 2006 class of IDS 2083 has been learning about using technology in the classroom. We have been learning about geocaching as a means of teaching students concepts in latitude and longitude.
