About This Item

First_Finders.jpg

The coin is a tribute to the First Finders of America. While we get all get a kick out of getting First to Find on a geocache, there were people here before us and they "Found it First".

The coin features the familiar shield design from the state flag of Oklahoma. The obverse is centered with an image of the famous "End Of the Trail" scultpure by James Earle Fraser. On the ring of the coin are eight of the largest tribes in Oklahoma: Apache, Caddo, Delaware, Kiowa, Modoc, Osage, Tonkawa, Wyandotte.

This and many other interesting geocoins are available from www.hogwildstuff.org.
