Current Goal

The mission of this travel bug is to visit as many snorkling sites and have its picture taken under water as many times as possible before returning to a Northwest Chicago cache, after making at least one stop in a Lexington, Kentucky cache. Please post as many under water pictures as possible especially with tropical fish in the back ground. It would like to get back to Chicago by October 2005.

About This Item

The TB is a small piece of Coral that washed up on the beach of our resort. We love snorkeling and want this TB to enjoy as much snorkling as possible before returning home for the winter. Unfortunately our digital camera is broken so we will have to depend on fellow cachers to provide the pictures.

Found in Niagara Extremes North (GCP6RJ) - bit of a surprise since it had vanished without logging from Valley of the Past.

It's still a long way from Chicago and spent too little time in it's intended location. And what bad timing - sister-in-law went to Chicago this weekend and could re-patriated the poor thing. We'll make it as comfortable as possible for a bit, while pondering options.

    • Last-minute beach visit MexRiv coral seemed somewhat dried-out and listless. Took it to a cottage beach near Huntsville, Ontario. Some other expats from tropical waters dropped by for the occasion and traded stories about rogue starfish and turbid waters.
Hopefully, the little "spa" treatment will allow the coral to make it through a long northern winter on it's way back home.

Found Mexican Riviera Coral in Man's Best Friend (Rancho Santa Margarita) and plan to take it down toward the beach tomorrow on my venture with Lab Rat to the Salt Creek Corridor Regional Park. It is just a hop skip and a jump to Laguna Beach from there. Sunshinegirlz

Picked it up near a very well know swiming hole. Many world class swimmers came from this facility that we have all seen in the Olypics. I'll get it near some more water soon.
