Current Goal

NOTE: (3/21/06) The original mission was completed successfully! Now the bug has to get home. Please bring the bug and me to a cache at a longitude that is farther EAST than the cache you found us in. Also, since this Bug is in a rush, please try to put it in a cache that is visited frequently.

About This Item

<BGCOLOR="#a1a1a1"> The (original) mission was meant to have a little mystery as to WHY it went west, and what happened if it didn't make it. If you are interested, and have the time, the clues are there. [ed note: the bug has been out there for years! There used to be more significance to it's goal when it started out]

If it isn’t too much trouble, could you take pictures of the bug and traveler near any road signs, or landmarks and post them? That way the travelers partner can keep tabs on his progress. ,

The traveler might want to drive past his mom’s house, or even pop in at his office on the way through (although, any field office would work)!

HINT #1: The bugs Traveler wants to get back to his summer house in Quonochontaug.

HINT #2: The internet is a very useful resource! A little research will go a long way with this Bug’s task!

Discovered It 1/8/2025 schwartz-hansen discovered it   Visit Log

Seen by coincidence on the home page of the TB, while I was searching for another TB.
I f you don´t approve - you can just delete my log - but thank you for seeing it :-)

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 11/29/2006 crunch7040 grabbed it   Visit Log

The journey is over. The bug has been retrieved from Bisanabi, and it is going to spend it's retirement in comfort, on a shelf in my living room. Where it can watch all the XFile's episodes it wants.

Thanks to EVERYONE that helped this bug get from RI to the shore of CA, all the way back to RI (and, eventually home in CT). It was a THREE year, 7000+ mile trek, going through dozen's of caches, without getting lost, stolen, or forgotten. It is a testimony to the teamwork, and (Geo-Caching) community that made this happen. A rare attribute in this "instant gratification" society we live in.

Keep up the good work, and keep the sport alive!!!

Retrieve It from a Cache 11/21/2006 Bisanabi retrieved it from The Last EVER Gate Cachers! (Let It Be) Connecticut   Visit Log

Since this TB is retiring, I thought I'd give it a going away bash and took it to the Gate Cachers Event last night. I retrieved it and it is now resting in a double envelope awaiting delivery to it's final resting spot. Vale, 6ABX02...

No mission attached and not many visitors, so I thought I'd rescue him today. Took him west to CT from RI, but am going back for Thanksgiving. I will drop it further east than where I picked him up today.

Found this Mystery Mission today, and was planning to take him back to Wisconsin with us. But sounds like he wants to get home. We are planning to cache in Rhode Island tomorrow - so if we can find a cache we will put him in.
Hope you had happy journeys.
