Maple Longarms has had a long history with us - we first found him in Anegada, BVI, on the beach. He then sat in my apartment in NYC for a while, until our next sailing adventure in Tahiti. We dropped him in Tahiti in a geocache that we (the crew of our sailboat the Jorvik) made ourselves (the Cromwell Cache), and it was almost another year until he was found in Tahiti. After that, Maple traveled the globe for a while, until I received a pin almost a year later that maple had been placed in a geocache in Colorado. I used to live in Colorado, and I still have a few friends there, including my friend Lucas. When I learned of Maple's whereabouts, I called up Lucas, and asked him where he was and if he had a GPS on him. By some amazing stroke of luck, Lucas not only had a gps on him, but was in his car driving on the road that would take him right by where Maple had just been placed! While i was on the phone with Lucas, he keyed in the coordinates to his gps, drove another 10 minutes down the road, pulled off to the side, walked out to the field where Maple was hidden, and found him! Amazing! Lucas then logged in the find, and then mailed Maple back to me in NYC. From there, Maple sat in my apartment for another year or so, until our (the crew of our latest sailboat, the Omaha Rainbow) recent sailing adventure in Belize. I took maple with me, and on the last morning of our trip, my friend Sean (SSeanA1) and I walked in to town in Placencia, Belize and planted Maple in Lisa's Garden Cache. So, once again, Maple Longarms is off on another journey around the world Safe travels Maple!
