About This Item

HST Universe Tour IV CD Jacket Image

This Travel Bug is a CD which contains a powerpoint presentation that gives a brief history of the Hubble Space Telescope and takes the viewer on a tour of the universe, sampling the uncounted numbers of images that Hubble has taken over the past 13+ years. Let this be your guide to the wonders that surround our little planet. Please feel free to copy off any/all the files on this CD for yourself or anyone you feel would like to have it before passing it on again. Please also keep it moving, travelling around so others can share of it. Try not to place it in caches that are visited infrequently, might be in danger of being plundered, or possibly in danger of being confiscated by authorities unhappy with geocaches. Thanks!

You may want to print out the "HST Show Notes" file prior to viewing the show in order to follow along. The ppt presentation will automatically advance once you've started the slide show, timed very roughly to track along as you read the "Notes". However, you can manually move it forward as well by pressing on the 'down arrow' key (or go backwards by pressing the 'up arrow').

This TB is identical to the "Universe Tour III" bug except it has over a dozen additional slides (e.g., 3-wavelength images of Saturn and the Sombrero Galaxy, among others). Like it's predecessor, it includes a copy of the cover image for you to download (if you want to make your own copy of this CD and want the jacket), and has a folder that contains a handful of hi-res images from the Hubble that were used in the presentation which you may also copy off for screen savers, backgrounds, whatnot.

Enjoy your visual adventure through the universe!

What a pleasant surprise. With all the Mars landing in the news, timely. Just the way to start off the New Year. Thanks to all. TeamLERK D/L'ed the files and will now move the Hubble Tour IV along its geo-orbit.
