Current Goal

Der Elefanten-TB soll möglichst viele Km (Meilen) auf allen Kontinenten zurücklegen. Es wäre schön, wenn er nach einer langen Reise wieder nach Hause zurückkehren würde.

The elephant-TB is to travel as many kilometers (miles) on all continents. It would be nice if he would return home after a long journey.

Found this guy was ready to check out of the hotel. He needs a ice road trip. Let's see what we can do.

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count. It seems that there are caching statistical challenges that look at the word count in your logs.
I heard about geocaching in 2008 and created an account at that time, but didn’t try caching at the time. We first started caching in February 2015 while on vacation in Florida. I had the geocaching app on my phone and I had been looking at it. We were in the Florida Keys and I convinced my wife that it would be a lovely day to take our kayak out into the ocean for a while. I already had plans to see what this caching was, but didn’t let on to my wife what my devious plans were. We paddled about a mile from where we launched and I told my wife what my idea was. The mangrove hummock out in the ocean had a cache. She was excited to try this out, so the hunt was on! Shortly we had our first smiley!! A D3.0/T5.0!! A VERY satisfying first find!!
As we continued caching, we started meeting other cachers and found out about the caching community and events. We have really enjoyed the social aspects of caching and made many friends. These new friends taught us a lot about caching and we continue to learn every day.
Thanks to everyone out there who have made this adventure so enjoyable!! Again, if you read this far, sorry for the blabbering!
