This necklace was made in Nairobi by rehabilitated gang members. I would like it to get
back to that area so they can see what an impact and how far reaching their jewelry has gone.
A group of rehabilitated gang members, street boys and ex=prostitutes from Nairobi have transformed
their lives through the sale of their handicrafts. "Zakale", meaning re-use, takes discarded materials to
make beautiful jewelry. This piece is a necklace and is beautiful.
