To see the world! This beautiful cat lived her entire 21 years in Fairbanks, Alaska. She may not have gotten the chance to travel, but through her mini-me TB proxy her spirit can visit all of the places she would have like to seen!
Calliope was a 21 year old rescued female calico cat. She was 17 when she was adopted, and is the sweetest therapy animal and protective presence in my life. While she does have separation anxiety (understandable!), her gratitude and attachment to me is undeniable. I would never think twice about adopting a senior animal, or adopting a shelter animal. Filling the last years of Calli's life with love and comfort was more important to me than the delights of kitten antics.
We live in Fairbanks, Alaska. It is just south of the Arctic Circle, which mean nearly 24 hours of daylight during the summer, and dark, cold, long winters.
I am very sad to announce that Calliope passed away on May 8, 2016. She was a very special girl, and will always be in my heart. Thank you all for over 8000 miles logged while she was still here! Please keep her TB traveling in memorial to her, and for all the senior pets out there that need homes.
