The original travelbug, May 2014: Norri - the Norwegian forest cat.
This travelbug was made by 'Seacat & Norri' (Austria). I chatted with them about some caches we had visited in Barcelona, and then they said they would give me a travelbug - my first! They attached a "Norris Wooden Geocoin" as security guide to the journey. The cat started its journey in Vienna in May 2014, and seemed lost in Germany in 2015. Now in 2016 l have marked it as missing, and released a copy with two black cats on, in Bergen.
About the race Norwegian forest cat
These cats have wandered around in Scandinavia for hundreds of years, and we can trace them back to Norse mythology (norrøn mytologi). They started to preserve the cat from 1970, after a growing interest in 1920-1930.
The coat is water resist. They don't get much knots due to long overcoat (housecats normally have long UNDERcoat) but they shed their winter fur in the spring. Their claws are bigger than other cat's, and it moves far better in the nature, and up and down trees. The back legs are longer than the front legs.
All colors are accepted, also white color on feet/under belly. It is a very active cat.
