Current Goal

My mission is to hit as many caches as possible never being in the same cache as my son (SCRMNSPYD) or husband (SCRMNDRGN). Eventually we will set up a TB hotel and maybe they can race back.

Welcome to Vermont! This is a pretty little thing. Will take it to visit some of our beautiful state.

Picked this up in Niagara Falls. Bringing it back to NY's eastern side and distributing somewhere out that way!

Well the little horse made of jade is back in the U.S., maybe for a round trip back home if anybody feels like transferring it south. The cache it is currently in is a very interesting one on a busy jogging route along the scenic Niagara River, a few miles above Niagara Falls.

It shouldn't sit here for long, as this seems to be a busy cache with trackable items, given its NON-cache-and-dash status. The cache is far enough away from parking that only serious geocachers would probably be visiting.

Thanks for the treasure! We enjoyed it.

    • geocache-100_2739 The cache crossing the border back into the U.S. for the first time in over a year. In the background you can make out the American Falls on the left and (barely) the Canadian Horseshoe Falls further off in the background.

Transferring the cache back to the U.S. was the perfect excuse to head over and enjoy great American chicken wings and pizza: especially the pizza - the pizza in Canada absolutely sucks compared to the U.S. (something about the cheese we use).
    • geocache-100_2741 The SCRMNHRS trackable about to make its way through U.S. customs. We joked about whether we should be declaring the import of Chinese jade.

Grabbed this trinket out of the "Free Parking" cache today, with intentions of sending it on its way soon. I think it was a stroke of good fortune that it didn't fall into the hands of muggles.... the Free Parking Cache is less than a mile from Niagara Falls itself, and thus falls into the category of HEAVY tourism traffic. The cache itself is simply a tree with a hollow at head-level, and the container was very visible.

My wife was really impressed with this charm, and I think it will hang from the rearview mirror of our van for about a week while we wait for a few relatives to visit who can take this far away again (I see it has been in Ontario for a little while now). We are a family with triplet 7-year old boys, so keeping their hands off of it would be challenging if we brought it into the house!
