FRIDOLIN startete seine Reise im Glarnerland. Er wollte San Diego im sonnigen Kalifornien besuchen und uns bei der Rückkehr in die Schweiz seine Reisegeschichten erzählen. Fotos der Zwischenstationen sind sehr willkommen, um seine Reise zu verbildlichen.

FRIDOLIN started his journey in Canton of Glarus. He wanted to visit San Diego in sunny California and tell us his traveling stories once he has returned back to Switzerland. Photos of stop-over sites are very welcome to visualize his journey.

Fridolin ist auf dem Glarner Wappen zu sehen, das als einziges Wappen der 26 Schweizer Kantone einen Menschen abbildet. Er stellt den Glaubensboten Fridolin von Säckingen mit goldenem Nimbus, Stab und Buch auf rotem Grund dar.
Im Coin Hintergrund ist das Glarner Tüechli abgebildet: Ein quadratisches Baumwolltüchlein im Paisley Muster bedruckt, welches traditionell im Kanton Glarus hergestellt wird.
Das Schweizer Kreuz und die Stars And Stripes stellen die Mission des FRIDOLIN Coins dar.

Fridolin is shown on the Coat Of Arms of the Canton of Glarus / Switzerland. He is the only human person that is shown in one of the 26 Coat Of Arms of the various Cantons of Switzerland. He represents the missionary of Säckingen with his golden nimbus, stick and book in the red background.
The background of the coin shows the Glarner Tüechli - a square paisley printed cotton cloth, that is traditionally manufactured in the Canton of Glarus.
The Swiss Cross and the Stars And Stipes are reflecting the mission of the FRIDOLIN coin.
