This bug is a traveling interview. It invites those who find it to share on audio tape their non-sectarian speculation as to what Heaven is like. This is the fourth of five. If it can get back to Minnesota eventually (a slice of Heaven in the summer and Hell in the deep winter) in small stages, great. Otherwise, I'll circulate completed tapes back and new ones to the container by mail. Given that I released it in Canada, let's keep it in Canada for a while.
I am a former newspaper reporter, radio talk show host and survey researcher. I decided to "interview" those who find this travel bug about one of the most interesting questions I know: What is Heaven like? Weird question, right? Here's what's behind it. Most of us have lost someone important to us - a grandparent, a parent, an aunt or uncle, a friend. Do you ever wonder what they're doing right now? We've all heard about those near-death experiences - seeing the bright light, feeling at peace, being greeted by a deceased loved one. Maybe that's how it happens, maybe it's not. In any case, what happens after that? Sit around playing a harp all day? I doubt it. I've seen a few movies that take a stab at it. In "Defending Your Life," Albert Brooks eats a divinely delicious omelet. There's an incredible vision of Heaven in "What Dreams May Come." And if "Field of Dreams" has it right, there will be baseball in the after-life. Let me interject that I am not looking for religious doctrine or anything that can be looked up in the scriptures or preaching of any denomination. I am asking for your conjecture about what would make Heaven for you. And I'm not looking for answers; I'm looking for your answers. For example, consider these questions: - Where do you live in Heaven? Are there houses and streets? - How do you get around? Do you walk (you've got time, after all), can you move instantaneously at will, or are there vehicles of some sort? - Do you sleep, or is everyone awake all the time? - With whom do you spend your time? Your family from here on earth? Friends? People you met there? - What if you wanted to meet someone famous who died long before you, such as Albert Einstein or George Washington? How do you look him up? Would he be really busy meeting everyone else? - Do you eat? If so, what? - Is there music? If so, what kind? - Do you get to come down here? Can you help mortals? If so, under what circumstances? The Travel Bug is taped to the bottom of a paperback-book-sized container. Inside are these instructions, a log book and a cassette tape. To participate, pop the tape into a tape recorder. Make sure you're not taping over someone else's contribution. Hit record, introduce yourself and talk about what you think Heaven is like. If you use up the last of the tape, email me and I'll send a new one to be included in the container and a postage-paid mailer to send the finished one to me. If this works well, I'll compile the best responses onto a CD and will be happy to send one to those who contributed. When you are done, please place put everything back in the container and move the whole thing to a new geocache. Extra points for moving this bug long distances around the Canada. Have fun, thanks and happy geocaching!

Picked this one up at Round Lake as it had been sitting there for a few months. But it was in a heavenly spot during that time. Park will be opening soon and activity there will get busier.
Given our name I'm sure you know where we stand on the issue. Interesting idea for a cache. Unfortunately the cassette has gone the way of the 8 track so unable to listen to tape or record on it. Will move it along shortly.

Pickuped this different type of a TB today, up to waist in snow, wet and cold, and 10:30 at night. Dashing about for our Winter Caching Event and chasing down FTFs. Will make a few comments as time allows and move along.
Imagine
John Lennon 1971
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
