My 250th find was on 10/30/13,the cache is GC3PRFR "A New Hoppe", I'm keeping the coin but will put out a Proxy to do the traveling.
New Proxy 11/9/18
Let's face it folks, some of us spend a lot of money on trackables, only to have them disappear once they get sent out into the wild. For trackable owners, it's extremely disheartening when this happens. All of the coins/trackables I've sent out so far have went missing at some point. For this reason, I've decided to keep all of the original coins and send out Proxies into the wild. That way others will have the opportunity to move/discover the trackables I've been holding on to, while also keeping the original coin safe and sound.
Please treat the proxy as you would the real coin and move it along from cache to cache. I hope you will play along and move the proxy instead of keeping it!

Denver, CO: Quick stop in Denver. We wanted to visit the Mint, but they have some very specific hours and all tours are guided. Make note if you plan on visiting! There's also a virtual there, but I chose to visit the tracker to this one because it was so on theme. The name gave you a huge hint that was followed closely by the find. Edgar Allan Poe lovers should all visit!

Fairplay, CO: We stopped here because my travel companion loves South Park and wanted to see the place that the fictional city is modeled on. Turns out the city itself doesn't capitalize on their fame, something about a lawsuit, since dropped... Anyway, it was a beautiful place in the Rocky Mountains and close to the "highest incorporated town" in the country, Alma, CO. A gentleman in Fairplay suggested that could have more than one meaning. ;)

Four Corners, Navajo Nation/Ute Mountain Reservation ~ AZ, UT, NM, CO: Still going on our 5 day road trip. I've been to 4 corners before but not since the 4 virtuals were put into play here. So here we are getting the virtuals and letting my English friend stand on 4 states at once! It's a lovely place, with pleasant 'shops' around the exterior. From here we head into the Rocky Mountains.

Canyon de Chelly, Chinle, AZ - Started after work on our 5 day road trip through AZ, CO, WY, NE. Picked Chinle to stop at for the night because it was a reasonable driving distance. Turns out it was right outside Canyon de Chelly, which was a surprise we found out when we woke up. Lovely drive around the rim, bought a fun carving from a young man who obviously just needed a few bucks and then on to 4 Corners! TFTC!

Came back to Phoenix for a rest from the road trips. Planning another 5 day trip for the summer, then we'll be done until December. This cache is one of my favorites. It's completely designed and installed, but fits in perfectly with the surroundings. I gave it a favorite point!

Took a day trip to Lake Havasu City to look at London Bridge with my British friend. They really go all out on the British stuff, exactly my kind of touristy stop! It was a really hot day and I may have lost some skin at this particular cache stop :) Still, always worth the drive -- the river and lake were lovely.

Back to Phoenix for a boring work week. Looking for our gems for the Mystery at the Museum game. This cache was fun because it was designed for night caching and I love night caching!

Stopped in Boulder City, NV on our way back from Vancouver. We should finally be home to Phoenix, AZ tonight. I love vacations but I love coming home too! Stopped at a couple caches in Boulder City, including this one which was a virtual cache in a small park with a few interesting pieces of art being the centerpiece of the park. Nice little area. We also stopped at Tom Devlin's Monster Museum while we were here. We stopped two years ago, the first week it opened and wanted to see if it had improved. It has, and it's still a fun little stop to break up the tedium of all this desert driving.

This one was fun - loved the gadget, which was clever but not insanely difficult. On our way back to Phoenix from a Vancouver road trip. This was a quick stop in Mesquite, NV to see the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum. Just a small place but had some really fascinating objects from the area. Who these days remembers those old Remington typewriters? They have a case full of them.

Made a stop at Antelope Island and the Great Salt Lake. I can't say it's a pretty place, but it was interesting and we did see Buffalo! My friend is not yet comfortable with desert life and exclaimed "oh my god I found a dragon" while we were looking for the cache. We didn't find a dragon. 😉
