After spending several years in Sweden, this geocoin has a special meaning to me! Especially after I had the same experience during my third stay in Sweden. Together with Karl_XI and Reugenspass.eu we came from a stash hunt back. Suddenly and without any warning, we had our close encounter of the moose kind We missed the moose by centimeters and we all were shocked for a moment. Luckily nobody got hurt and honestly once in a lifetime is enough! During the geocoinfest in Ulm, Germany, I met by luck Dofferson himself and had a nice cheat about Sweden and mooses!

The Close Encounters of the Moose Kind Geocoin has been designed by Dofferson. The idea for this geocoin was born, while spending his holiday in Sweden. He took three trips to Sweden without seeing a moose and on his fourth trip one jumped in front of his car (no person or moose got hurt). It suddenly jumped in front of his car and all three (his wife, himselve and the moose) had a "WTF ?" moment. Being a true geocoin addict the first thing that came into his mind was: "hmmm would be a nice geocoin idea". After some creatives moment at his computer the design for the geocoin was born. The first artwork by Dofferson is shown below Artwork of the geocoin by Dofferson The front side shows a moose head in black nickel for the outline and the shadow. The highlight parts are colored in yellow enemal. The backside is of multi layer design and shows a moose that is crossing a road with the text "close encounters of the moose kinds" in the same font as the science fiction movie "third kind". Tijdens het GeoCoinFest weekend heb ik een hele hoop gedaan, waardoor ik niet altijd voldoende tijd had om uitgebreid alles te bekijken. Ik heb echter wel van het gehele weekend erg genoten en tussen de bedrijven door met een aantal mensen gezellig kunnen kletsen 😎 En ik heb ook nog heel even de tijd gehad om de fraaie collecties die boven opgesteld lagen te bewonderen. Daar zat ook de verzameling van Geo-Dragonchild bij. Ik ben blij dat hier toch nog even de tijd voor heb kunnen vinden. Het is namelijk toch wel bijzonder om zo veel fraaie coins bij elkaar te zien. Gelukkig heb ik niet alle codes zelf op hoeven te schrijven, maar kon ik wat hulp krijgen 😉 Geo-Dragonchild, bedankt voor het tonen van deze fraaie verzameling en de hulp bij het discoveren. Vandaag deze fraaie Trackable verzameling gezien op het Geocoinfest in Eindhoven. Het was mijn buurman, althans mijn Trackables lagen ook in een vitrine. Mooie verzameling !!

Dieses wunderschöne Exemplar durften wir am Rande des MEGA-Event "Geocoinfest Europe 2015 Netherlands" discovern. Naja, eigentlich ist dieser Standardtext ja hier nicht so ganz richtig. Wir haben erst einmal in allen Vitrinen bewundert, wie umfangreich und vielfältig die einzelnen Sammlungen sein können und uns ein paar Kontaktdaten notiert. Wir waren zwar vor zwei Jahren in Prag schon mit dabei, hatten uns dort aber ein anderes Ziel gesetzt, nämlich 12 verschiedene Cachetypen an einem Tag zu schaffen. Daher waren wir dieses Mal umso glücklicher, dass wir uns ausgiebig den Schönheiten des heutigen Tages hingeben und nach Herzenslust discovern durften. Danke dafür und viel Erfolg auf Deiner weiteren Mission. TEmLy11, Bremen / Germany P.S.: Wir haben zwar auch wieder ein bisschen zugeschlagen, aber unsere Coins sind und werden allesamt nicht aktiviert.

Op 26 september was ik gezellig op het Geocoinfest Europe 2015 in de Netherlands. Ik was die zaterdag ochtend vrijwilliger, ik gaf iedereen zijn/haar bestellingen waaronder de mooie coins die ter gelegenheid van dit event waren gemaakt. Als vrijwilligster heb ik ook een mooie serie gekregen. Zo heb ik in de middag wat rondgelopen en de vele moois coins bewonderd zowel nieuwe als de verzamelingen. Zo ook de hele mooie verzameling van Geo-Dragonchild, de een nog mooier dat de ander. Tjee.. dat is een extra hobby erbij dan alleen geocaching, mooi hoor. En nu mag ik ze allemaal discoveren. Thanks..

Deze prachtige collectie Dutch geocoins mogen bewonderen tijdens het geo coin feest in Eindhoven. EEn weekje vroeger tijdens de meet & greet in Goslar kon de opvallende draak van Geo- Dragonchild reeds bewonderen. Bedankt Marcel voor deze te mogen discoveren en nog veel succes met jou verzameling.

Auf dem Mega Event in Eindhoven gab es viele tolle und auch außergewöhnliche coins und TBs zu entdecken, die man nicht so häufig sieht. Unter anderem auch diese riiiiiesige Sammlung, die ich bestaunt habe. :O Vielen dank fürs Zeigen und teilen! Beste Grüße aus dem Ruhrpott schickt orso81 :-)

Hallo Marcel, wat leuk dat ik je op het GeocoinFest 2015 in Eindhoven heb getroffen en gesproken. En inderdaad wat jammer dat we geen foto hebben gemaakt. Evengoed hartstikke bedankt dat je de lijst met codes van je geweldige serie coins aan me heb toegestuurd. Hartelijke geogroeten uit Horst en nog heel veel plezier van je collectie!!!
