This is one of two Dragons that would like to travel to various military bases and military facilities around the world, to remind everyone- military and civilian- to keep security in mind at all times! Back home, we'd love to see photos of where the dragon is traveling- keeping real OPSEC in mind of course. :)
His brother dragon is also reminding citizens of OPSEC; you can check him out Here! Which one will go further?
Operational Security, or "OPSEC" is the practice of keeping unclassified information safe if it could be damaging when combined or associated with other unclassified information. An example might be the location of an Army mission, and a calendar date. Separately, each item may be completely innocuous, but if combined, our soldiers could easily be intercepted by the enemy and would be in extreme danger. You probably practice OPSEC at home too- simple things like asking your neighbor to pick up your mail, or leaving lights on when you're away prevent criminals from knowing the dates you are gone from your home. It is imperative that we practice OPSEC in everything we do!
"Things of a seemingly trifling nature, when enjoined with others of a more serious cast, may lead to valuable conclusions for our enemy."
- George Washington, known OPSEC practitioner
